RYAN’S BACKGROUND

Ryan “Vox” Webb is a Senior Singing Teacher and mentor at Vox Singing Academy. He is the most experienced, longest serving teacher at the academy, (aside from Peter Vox himself), and has a wealth of experience and knowledge as a teacher (since 2005) and musician . Due to this he is in very high demand and availabilities with Ryan are very limited! Ryan also has a bachelor degree of teaching and a certificate of Music at MWT. As quality control manager and Vox teaching mentor, Ryan has helped train many of the best Vox teachers since 2012 and has helped Vox become the best in Australia.

Ryan specialises in teaching all styles of singing especially rock, pop, acoustic singer/songwriter and musical theatre, hard rock screaming and distortion singing. He is also a particularly good sound board/producer for singer songwriters as he is an accomplished songwriter himself (Ryan is the lead music writer in his band ‘House of EL’).

RYAN SINGING EXPERIENCE

Ryan can fast track new would-be singers, and experienced musicians and performers, to their dream of performing onstage as quickly as possible and to take it to the next level. His wealth of knowledge of playing onstage with bands, theatre and as a solo and duo acoustic musician is priceless for those wanting to get results quickly. Ryan has always played solo acoustic gigs for 30 years since 1994 but more recently has performed regular venue gigs most weekend since 2022. Ryan is very experienced with playing and singing solo and with others at live acoustic gigs to large crowds of people with over 1000+ hours of stage experience. He is also the lead music songwriter and drummer for his Original band ‘House of EL’ (2015). Ryan knows how to be a frontman as a band member or as an MC and knows how to create crowd interaction for venues, private parties or weddings. Ryan often uses a looper pedal, or a beat pedal or cajon to create rhythms and harmonies while playing solo which in itself is a massive time consuming skill to learn. Ryans experience as a stage actor has also taught him timeless tips on public speaking, monologues, acting and voice over craft.

• Certificate in Music Performance and Production at MWT
• Bachelor of Arts with Honours at La Trobe University (Theatre Major)
• Bachelor of Teaching at Deakin University (Primary and Secondary School)
• Proficiently studied Voice, Singing, Acting, Guitar, Clarinet, Piano, Percussion and Drums, Composition, Producing and a little bit of Music Engineering.

In addition to the proven effective Vox syllabus, Ryan also teaches adult group classes, intensive one-on-one sessions (to kick start your voice with all the skills in one hit!), and he also runs masterclasses and workshop courses covering all aspects of singing, performing, songwriting, recording and playing with musical instruments including guitar, vocal harmonies, pedal looping (for solo artists), group classes for singing, cajon (drums) and percussion, rhythm and timing, songwriting structure, acting technique, solo and group performance expertise.
